Term Charter

Mercuria is heard to be on subjects for a 2+1 year charter of a NYZJ newbuilding from August/September. The rate is heard to be index linked at high 80% to 90%.
ADNOC has put the Al Taweelah (174,000 cbm, XDF, 2026) on subjects to BP at $80,000 per day for a mid-June delivery East of Suez for a multi month charter.
Last 3 weeks:
Adnoc is rumoured to have fixed a 174,000 cbm vessel to BP for a June, East of Suez delivery for a multimonth charter until 2H October at $82,000 per day.
Qatar Energy has fixed 5 of its vessels on 1-year charters to BP, TotalEnergies, SEFE, Eni and LMCS. The rates are reported to be within the low $60,000's to mid $70,000s.

It's heard that the option recently declared at Hanwha Ocean by Knutsen has been fixed to ConocoPhillips for 7 years.

Newbuilding

Cosco Shipping has placed an order for 4 newbuildings at Jiangnan Shipyard for delivery between 2029 and 2030, they are priced at $238.25 Mn per vessel.

 

BGT has booked 3 174,000 cbm vessels at Hudong-Zhonghua for delivery in 2029, they will be chartered by NLNG and will be fitted with XDF propulsion.

Last 3 weeks:

Seapeak has ordered 3 174,000 cbm vessels at Samsung Heavy Industries for delivery in 1H 2029. The rate was reported to be $252 Mn per ship.

 

BW has declared its 2 options at HD Hyundai Samho for $254Mn each. The vessels are due to deliver in 2H2029.

 

Knutsen has reportedly declared its option at Hanwha Ocean for a 174,000 cbm vessel delivering by June 2029 for $250.3 Mn.
